- to understand contents of the text on the specialty and to master printing information of
media;
- ability to express the thought to rather future specialty;
- it is correct to express the thoughts in English and to give an assessment about the read
material including professional terms;

C1-C2 – level is higher than the usual standard
On the basis of this level the student has to carry out the following communicative tasks:
To understand the fluent speech of speaking. To retell contents of the read scientific text. To
make entries at meetings and conferences. To make recommendations in language about the
specialty and to express the opinion. To write the report and article on the specialty and to defend
the opinion. To write the essay on a scientific subject, to make the plan and to introduce the idea
according to the report.
Listening demands from the student an accurate statement of a thought concerning the
written-down and heard material and:
- to be able not understand, but also to master professional skills after listening of the text;
to understand a monologue in which professional features of specialty are narrated; to catch
the main idea and the main subject of the transmitted data;
- during the official and business meeting to understand two or more interlocutors
participating in a conversation; to be able to prove the opinion.
The current, intermediate and final control. Methodical instructions for carrying out
independent works of students.
The system of credit scoring plays an important role in assessment of level of the knowledge
of student. Final estimates are determined after objective control of progress of students and results
of examination including their training during educational process by the number of points scored.
There are 3 types of control:
1) current (once a week or upon completion of the module);
2) intermediate (according to the schedule of 7-14 weeks);
3) final (after the termination of a rate).
Weekly tests question-answer, a lexicon, dictations, etc. will be in the form of the current
control.
The current examination is held according to the schedule for 2 times. It is carried out in the
form of repetition, and fixing of the passable materials within 7 weeks. Types current control
following: an oral form, written work, in the form of the test, etc.
Rather total control (examination), it is carried out after the termination of academic year. The
quantity of examination questions fluctuates from 75 to 100.
Examination is allowed to be hosted in oral, written and in the form of the test. It is possible
to take over also an examination in the mixed (combined) option. Examination questions have to be
formed within the passable materials. Each ticket consists of 3 questions. Test questions are formed
on the basis of classroom hours and content of materials of a course. It is necessary to give 5
possible answers on each 25 questions. Materials of examination and test questions are approved at
a faculty meeting without fail.
Independent Work of the Student (IWS)
Presently competent specialists are very demanded who are capable to resolve independently
issues and difficulties arising before them . Along with human qualities their commitment and skills
is very much appreciated. For formation of the full-fledged specialist each student shall be
enhanced independently. This process is called self-knowledge and self-education.
It is possible to divide Independent work on English in ours Higher Education
Institutions:
- independent work of the student under the leadership of the teacher:

- independent work without participation of the teacher.
Independent work - it is a special form of independent development of language. It differs in
the fact that there is no direct management from the teacher. Here the teacher acts as the consultant
and the assistant.
At the organization of IWS it is necessary to turn on the following requirements:
- tasks on IWS correspond thematically and extremely clear;
- volume of IWS and take an examination;
- to accept IWS in various form.
The organization and technology of taking IWS consists of the following steps:
- the plan of IWS to provide with the methodical instruction:
- control IWS and assessment;
- detailed analysis and further development.
All planned works of IWS and subject including a form of taking of control work, time,
volume, etc. materials have to be specified on the meeting of department and on its educational
methodical council.
Independent work of students includes also their independently written reports, papers and
other types of creativity.
Their performance at conferences and participation in various business discussions is result of
independent work.
