1. Analysis of normative documents, legislative acts of the Republic of
Kazakhstan, conventions and international obligations on social work,
departmental documents, official statistics, factual information provided in the
mass media, methodological, historical, socio-psychological literature,
generalization of independent characteristics;
2. Conversation, a sociological survey (of population, among those who
received psychological, medical and social assistance in primary health care,
medical personnel of CPHC and social workers, conducted in 6 regions of the
Republic of Kazakhstan), questioning, testing (blank, picture, projective),
external, free and standardized observation, self-evaluation, interviewing, peer
discussion, biographical method;
3. Qualitative and quantitative characteristics of the data obtained, processing,
comparison, matching, data rating, expert assessments, problem exercises,
tasks, questions, PEST analysis;
4. Integration of certain provisions into a holistic theory, statistical analysis of
data, a graphical method, analysis of scientific publications, method of
generalization and synthesis of properties and features of the subject of the
research into a single whole; method of modeling.
Scientific novelty of the study:
1. The analysis of theoretical and methodological foundations of the formation
of professional competencies of a social worker in provision of social services
in the field of health care;
2. The peculiarities and specific features of the formation of professional
competencies of a social worker in the provision of social services in the sphere
of public health by the method of PEST analysis are disclosed;
3. The client-oriented model of formation of professional competencies of a
social worker in the provision of social services in the healthcare sphere was
developed and justified.
4. A toolkit for diagnosing the formation of professional competencies of social
workers in the provision of social services in the healthcare field was
developed;
5. A technology has been developed for the formation of professional
competencies of a social worker in the provision of social services in the field
of health care.
Theoretical significance of the research is determined by its contribution to
the development of the theory of training social workers, expressed in enriching
knowledge:
- on the essence, content and peculiarities of the notions: "professional
competences", "social work in the healthcare", "the role of a social worker in
the healthcare", "forming professional competencies of a social worker in the
provision of social services in the healthcare sphere", "formation technology of
professional competences of a social worker in the provision of social services
in the field of healthcare";
- on specifics of modeling the process of forming the social worker's
professional competencies in the provision of social services in the healthcare
sphere and technology for its implementation;
- on the nature of interaction process and effectiveness of team work of social
work members in the provision of social services in the health sector.
The practical significance of the research is that theoretical propositions and
conclusions can make a tangible contribution to the development of social work
