and even sources of accreditation. Students have tools, such as smartphones and
video cameras, to collect digital examples, and the data can be edited and used
in student work. Thus, strict management of the set of curricula in terms of the
limited content chosen by the instructor becomes less significant. The emphasis
shifts to addressing the issue of what is important or relevant in the subject area.
This approach allows the teacher to refuse to select and transmit
information in large blocks or fragments, such as a one-hour lecture, to guide
students in the search, analysis, evaluation and application of information
relevant to a particular subject area. Mobile learning with smartphones, tablets
and other devices, is the foundation of any location anywhere in the training
provided through the online training. This "relevance" becomes more coherent
between the teacher and the student.
The availability of free open educational resources in combination with
social networks allows a large number of students to gain access to knowledge
without having to meet institutional requirements before admission, at a fixed
rate or with an instructor. Computerized marking and peer review and evaluation
provide students with support and feedback on their education.
While mobile technologies, such as mobile phones, personal digital
assistants and digital music players, have penetrated a popular culture, they have
not been widely recognized as pedagogical tools in higher education.
Remote technologies in education have greatly expanded its capabilities. In
the modern world, you can get an education from anywhere in the world. And
although the traditional forms of education do not give up their positions, the
technology of distance learning has recently become increasingly popular.
The newest information technologies in training allow using more actively
the scientific and educational potential of leading universities and institutes,
attracting the best teachers to creating distance learning courses, and expanding
the audience of students.
Despite the fact that a wealth of experience in the field of computer
learning has already been gained, many teachers are wary of the possibility of
using computer learning tools. Also, it should be noted that the process of
computerization of education is faced with a number of problems.
At present, the role of information technology in people's lives has
significantly increased. Modern society is involved in the general historical
process, called informatization. This process includes the accessibility of any
citizen to information sources, the penetration of information technologies into
scientific, industrial, public spheres, a high level of information services. The
processes occurring in connection with the informatization of society contribute
not only to the acceleration of scientific and technological progress, the
intellectualization of all types of human activity, but also the creation of a
qualitatively new information environment of the society that ensures the
development of human creative potential.

One of the priorities of the process of informatization of modern society is
the informatization of education, which is a system of methods, processes and
software and hardware tools integrated to collect, process, store, distribute and
use information in the interests of its consumers. The purpose of
informatization is the global intensification of intellectual activity through the
use of new information technologies: computer and telecommunication.
Information technology provides the ability to:
1.
To rationally organize the cognitive activity of students during the
educational process;
2.
To make learning more effective by involving all kinds of student
perception in a multimedia context and arming the intellect with new conceptual
tools;
3.
Build an open education system that provides each individual with
their own learning path;
4.
To involve in the process of active learning categories of children
who differ in their
abilities and learning style;
5.
Use the specific properties of the computer, allowing you to
individualize the learning process and turn to fundamentally new cognitive
tools;
6.
Intensify all levels of the educational process.
The main educational value of information technologies is that they allow
to create an immeasurably brighter multi-touch interactive learning environment
with almost unlimited potential opportunities available to both the teacher and
the student. In contrast to conventional technical means of education,
information technologies allow not only to saturate the learner with a large
amount of knowledge, but also to develop the intellectual, creative abilities of
students, their ability to independently acquire new knowledge, and work with
various sources of information.
When working with educational materials, the
PC provides the teacher with
various types of assistance, which is not only to simplify the search for
necessary information when creating new educational materials through the use
of reference information systems, but also to design materials for training (texts,
drawings, graphs), as well as in the analysis of existing developments.
In relation to a student, a computer can perform numerous functions,
playing the role of:
1.
Teacher;
2.
Expert;
3.
Activity partner;
4.
Activity tool
Students can use PCs according to their individual needs at various stages
of work and in various qualities.
