Organizational moment:
Greetings. learners should predict the lesson activities looking at the
LOs.
Lead-in (I):
There are 6 posters around the classroom, each titled with one of
these headings: INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL, MEDICAL SCI-
ENCE, THE INTERNET, AGRICULTURE, SPACE TRAVEL,
OLYMPIC GAMES. For each of the spheres, learners are given 1-
1,5 min to write what have changed due to scientific discoveries and
technological advancement.
Warm-up (P):
Using the ideas elicited, have Ss discuss them in pairs allocating 2
min for each poster. You may wish to ask some learners define the
sphere which has seen the most significant changes. The lesson top-
ic is elicited.
