Lesson 1
Organizational moment:
Learning objectives are introduced to the learners. They read the learn-
ing objectives clearly and guess what activities and task types they will
be doing today at the lesson.
Lead in:
Learners listen to the sound of the video without video. They have to
guess who is talking and if possible what he/she is talking about.
Now learners watch the video with subtitles (to be set in the YouTube
video itself). They are to write out 1 full sentence (with at least Subject,
Verb, and Object.) This is needed to consolidate the Grammar of Re-
ported Speech. By asking learners just one question:
“What did the as-
tronaut say?”
and answering
NO!
when learners make a mistake, teach-
er elicits the grammar topic (REPORTED SPEECH). Example:
