Teacher uses images of characters smiley/sad faces and visuals of hot and cold foods to ask students to 

make up statements about the characters, e.g. Ben  likes/  doesn’t  like  cold  soup.  Lulu  likes/doesn’t  like  hot  

Teacher also can ask students to say about themselves, e.g. Do you like cold soup? – No,  I  don’t.  I  don’t  

Sources of evidence may include classroom monitoring and recording.
