Training in the professional oriented foreign language relies on competence-
based approach according to which on the basis of the gained knowledge the skills 
and  abilities  necessary  for  the  solution  of  practical  tasks  develop.  As  a  result 
students  purchase  such  competences  as  general  –  cross-cultural  and  informative; 
communicative – professional oriented linguistic. 
 This  program  is  aimed  at  providing  implementation  of  competence-based 
approach as it is based on the following principles: 
emphasis  on  forming  and  development  of  professional  and  communicative 
competence of process of mastering foreign-language communication; 
accounting  of  cross-disciplinary  communications  in  case  of  selection  of 
components of content of training; 
authenticity of the used training materials; 
orientation  on  personal  approach  to  process  of  teaching  and  studying  of  the 
professional oriented foreign language; 
- a support on independence and responsibility of students; 
use  in  educational  process  of  a  reflection  and  self-assessment,  promoting 
development of autonomy of students; 
the combined training in language using electronic means; 
interactive approach to training. 
"Professionally  oriented  foreign  language"  is  feature  of  teaching  a  rate  the 
shift  of  accent  of  training  with  linguistic  on  lingo-professional  training  of  future 
specialists 
which  is  performed 
by 
strengthening  of 
cross-disciplinary 
communications between a foreign language and specialist subjects. 
This program is intended for the students studying in the specialty 5B060200 
– Informatics and is intended for forming at students of exclusively professional and 
communicative competence that assumes the following communicative abilities:  
to read and understand authentic texts in the specialty; 
to understand authentic oral texts of monological and dialogical nature in the 
form of the message, lectures, an interview, conversations, discussions; 
to annotate written and oral authentic popular scientific and scientific texts in 
the specialty in English; 
to make messages, reports, the presentations, reviews on various professional 
subjects;  
to constitute written texts of informative nature (the  message, the report, the 
overview); 
to conduct business correspondence; 
the  vypolnyatpismenny  translation  of  texts  in  the  specialty  from  a  foreign 
language on native and from the native language into English;  
to carry out interpretation of texts in the specialty from a foreign language on 
native. 
Purpose  of  discipline:  this  discipline  is  intended  for  forming  at  students  of 
communicative  competences  which  will  allow  to  use  further  a  foreign  language in 
various  areas  of  professional  activity,  scientific  and  practical  work,  in 
communication with foreign partners, for self-educational and other purposes.

By the end of a training course the student shall 
to have skills: 
expressions  of  the  thoughts  and  opinion  in  interpersonal,  business  and 
professional communication in a foreign language; 
speech activities, reading, the letter, audition in a foreign language; 
nobility: 
foreign  language  in  the  amount  necessary  for  receipt  of  professional  information 
from foreign sources and communication at the professional level; 
business  and  professional  lexicon  of  a  foreign  language  in  the  amount  necessary 
for  communication,  reading  and  the  translation  of  foreign-language  texts  of  a 
general and professional orientation; 
main grammatical structures of a literary and spoken language; 
to be able: 
to use a foreign language in interpersonal communication and professional activity; 
freely  and  adequately  to  express  the  thoughts  in  case  of  a  conversation  and  to 
understand the speech of the interlocutor in a foreign language; 
to  conduct  written  communication  in  a  foreign  language,  to  constitute  business 
letters; 
to  apply  methods  and  learning  tools  to  intellectual  development,  increase  in 
cultural level, professional competence. 
Role and value of discipline: this discipline is discipline of a bachelor degree and 
develops  subject  of  the  disciplines  devoted  to  humanitarian  development  of 
students. 
The  disciplines  preceding  studying  of  this  discipline:  Informatics,  Foreign 
language. 
The  disciplines  containing  knowledge,  skills  necessary  for  development  of  the 
studied discipline: Informatics, Foreign language.
