Matching exercise
Each learner has a variety of animal and bird images and a variety of initial sound cards and they match the
image with the initial sound. For differentiation, the teacher can add or reduce the number of items. For
extension, learners could make their own initial sound (letter/blend) cards.
Sources of evidence may include worksheets and classroom monitoring.
